Blue Lake is at 5500 feet above sea level and is the start of the Waikaia River...

To get there you must travel up from Piano Flat with about 2 and a half hours 4 wheel driving in mainly 2nd gear low...

There are fish in here... I saw one in the hour or so that we fished here....

An amazing place to visit. Unfortunately it is not accessible by for wheel drive anymore because of dickheads who have ruined it by being hoons.
